The cobbled-together plans for British press regulation stray far beyond Leveson’s recommendations, to include blogs and other websites.
As Index on Censorship says:
“Bloggers could find themselves subject to exemplary damages in court, due to the fact that they were not part of a regulator that was not intended for them in the first place. This mess of legislation has been thrown together with alarming haste: there’s little doubt we’ll repent for a while to come.”
We’re online – with an issue I’m rather proud of.
Poetic New year wishes to all our readers.
This is a double issue, so I’ve packed it with poems, every one a gem.
There will be no Snakeskin at the start of September (because I’m likely to be busy with other matters) but do please continue to send poems. I’d like a bulging postbag to select from in October.
The Snakeskin blog will contine, of course, publishing irregular news snippets, rants and even poems. Please do keep on logging on.

As I get increasingly Scrooge-like with the approach of Xmas, expect some seething here.
I tried out one look for the blog, with three columns, but decided that it was a bit inflexible. This style is simpler, but I’m not entirely convinced about it yet. Any suggestions or comments would be welcomed.
