Tweaking

January 14, 2010

I tried out one look for the blog, with three columns, but decided that it was a bit inflexible. This style is simpler, but I’m not entirely convinced about it yet. Any suggestions or comments would be welcomed.

Working on the Work issue

January 14, 2010

Editorially speaking, January is a pleasant month for me because I can relax knowing that Jessy Randall has taken good care of the February issue. This year she has been especially efficient, with the poems for the WORK issue all carefully chosen and checked and organised by mid-December. My only responsibility is the pleasant one of enjoying  the poems as I set up the HTML pages for them.

Jessy is a librarian, so it is not surprising that her round-up of poetic ruminations on work includes a piece by a librarian, Suzie DeGrasse. While you are waiting for the February issue, may I suggest that you take a look at Ms DeGrasse’s blog, which will take you into the strange world of extreme cataloguing. Well worth exploring, it can be found at http://ephemeraextremus.blogspot.com.
